Hay, by it’s nature is variable and we promote diversity in the crop, for horse health and for environmental health, so the load delivered to you may differ slightly from the analysis we have supplied you with.  We provide you with good information to make an informed choice about the best hay for your horses.   If a load differs in some way from  the description provided, this is characteristic of hay and it is important to understand whether the supplier is happy to issue refunds for hay which you cannot feed or if you are buying the hay 'as seen'.  Most farmers who are happy to receive returns charge a premium price for their product.

We believe in the benefits of low fertility hay for horses.  You may find that your horse is less interested in hay from a low yield crop and that you notice more wastage.  Please be prepared to have patience.  Low palatability hay is the best forage to teach your horse self-regulation and this is the holy grail with all horses, it enables you to feed free-choice.

We ask that all efforts are made on the purchaser’s part to check the consignment at the point of unloading, so that in the unlikely event that you have cause to reject the load, returns can be arranged immediately. We suggest that you open a bale before unloading to satisfy yourself of the quality.  We play no part in the conditions of sale but ask that all transactions are conducted with professional courtesy.
